Packaging Baltic started back in 1994 with a sheet plant in Tallinn, Estonia, and a sales office in Riga, Latvia. Today, the unit is one of the region’s leading producers of corrugated board.
Packaging Baltic employs around 220 people, most of whom work at the Riga mill where the corrugator is located. Sheets produced in Riga are sent to Kaunas, Lithuania, and the Tallinn mill to be converted into packaging and sold on local markets. Both the corrugator and the converting capacity are designed for industrial volumes for the business-to-business market. Packaging Baltic’s customers include large producers in such segments as food and beverages, wood and metal, as well as supermarket chains and many others.
Corrugated board packaging solutions are produced using both in-line and die-cut production processes in up to four-colour flexo printing. Packaging can be produced from uncoated or coated liners. Coated liner can be covered with varnish, which provides colour intensity and brightness. Packaging Baltic also produces heavy-duty packaging, including containers and pallets.
The production unit is equipped with a quality control laboratory and design department. Packaging Baltic is certified in accordance with ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 22000 requirements.
