The Imatra Mill – appears as Mega factory on Finnish TV

Last Sunday, the FOX network launched a new TV series called “Suomen Megatehtaat” (Finnish Megafactories), a Finnish version of the National Geographic series “Megafactories”.

The program explains how everyday products or well-known designs begin their lives on the assembly line. The international series has already presented the production operations of Ferrari, BMW, Ikea, Lego and other major companies.

The episode about Imatra Mills begins with the harvesting process and continues throughout the entire board making process.

“The episode gives the viewer a unique opportunity to see how first-class consumer board is made. It also shows the good things we do for people and the planet by continuously developing our processes and driving innovation,” says Marko Pekkola, Director of Imatra Mills.

The material was filmed in December 2012 at Imatra Mills and Research Centre Imatra.  The episode will air on Sunday, 12 May on the FOX network.
